Early morning after breakfast at your accommodation in Dar Es Salaam, you will depart straight to Udzungwa where you will do the evening activities and after that you will drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Accommodation: Udzungwa Falls

The most popular trail in Udzungwa is Sanje Waterfall. This 180m waterfall is very impressive, surrounded by rainforest with excellent views over the Kilombero floodplain. At the top, you can swim in the refreshing plunge pool of the top waterfall (around 40m high) surrounded by thick rainforest. Optionally, you can take a 20min detour from the path, either on the way up, or on the way down the path from the Old Sanje Hotel, to the bottom of the large waterfall for fantastic views looking up, and more swimming/jumping/diving in the pool (a bit warmer). Sanje can be walked at any time of day, but it is best in the morning with the sun on the waterfalls, and is very hot at midday. At the right time of year, the sides of the gorge are covered in fireball lilies. It is common to see both types of Colobus on this trail. Many people walk up and down on the Old Sanje Hotel trail, but there is an alternative route up or down starting at the ranger post to the south. This route is slightly longer and is less used, so provides better chances of seeing undisturbed monkeys, and of course a circular walk. If you are using Hondo Hondo transport, you can be dropped off at one place and picked up from the other.

With its crumbling German colonial buildings and cobwebbed entrances, the bagamoyo is one of the few historical cities in Africa that are definitely worth exploring. The stretch of Ocean Road that is most interesting is the historic German boma, constructed in 1897, and Liku House, the site of the German administrative center, are both located here. Splendid, green areas where also grow the most fantastic trees and exotic plants. About 40 minute drive from Moshi town, from which you have a very nice view on Mt. Kilimanjaro, located in the beautiful country side of Marangu surrounded by lush landscapes, you will find this hidden waterfall.

After breakfast, you will drive to Mkomazi National Park. The Mkomazi National Park is a magnificent, 3,245 square kilometre national park in northern Tanzania. Remote and initially inaccessible, it was established in 1951, but never attracted the financial support provided for the better known wildlife strongholds such as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti National Parks. Only since 1989, when the Tanzanian Government re-examined the reserve’s status and designated it a National Priority Project, has its true significance and importance been recognized.
From 2021 the Rhino sanctuary can be visited by tourist. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Accommodation: Kambi Ya Tembo

After breakfast at Sinya, you will drive to Arusha National Park. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood also chose this region to film the movie “Hatari” in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wayne. At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting for you to accompany you on your walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed. Lunch will be taken at a picnic place and in the afternoon, you will continue your tour in the safari vehicle through the Arusha National Park. After plenty of time allocated for you to observe the wildlife, we will take you to Arusha.

Accommodation: Pazuri Inn

Your safari guide will collect you from your accommodation after breakfast. This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park. The transit drive is approximately two and a half hours on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire than anywhere else on the planet! The huge and ancient Baobab trees can be seen here. Some of them are said to have lived for more than a thousand years. Lunch will be at a picnic site inside the park. After your game drive, you will transit to your accommodation in Karatu.

After breakfast, you will drive up into the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be a chance to stop and see the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. You will then transit through Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti, entering the South of the park. The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. Whilst it boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeests, zebras and antelopes move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The migration can be found during any given month, you just need to know where to look! Depending on what time of year you come, you may get a chance to witness one of the 'Seven Wonders of the Natural World'. You will have a picnic lunch and you will overnight at a luxury tented camp in Central Serengeti.

Accommodation: Embalakai Camps

After breakfast, you will wind your way toward Ngorongoro Crater, hopefully enjoying more wonder on the way! Ngorongoro Crater is concealed by the steep volcanic walls and is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, glistening lakes and swamps. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself. When you reach the crater floor, you'll quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhinos, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands. After a full afternoon inside the crater, you will drive to your accommodation in Karatu.

Early morning depart on a guided cultural tour of the Hadzabe tribe’s location at Lake Eyasi and get knowledge and experience their way of life. You may want to join hadzabe Bushmen on a hunting demonstration by these proud people who mostly live on hunting and gathering wild fruits and roots. Amongst the world’s last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes inhabiting the scrubby bushland, Hadzabe men search for food alone and return home with golden honey, sweet fruit, or hearty wild game when, and if available. Their language is similar to Southern Africa’s Bushmen who speak the Click language and their language is believed to still have the clicks and pops like no other “ click language” up to the now. You will also have the opportunity to visit a blacksmith tribe of the datoga whereby different ornaments are made. Return to your lodge for a brunch. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.
