I was born and raised in the picturesque countryside of the Netherlands, where from a young age, my fascination with nature and wildlife was ignited. Growing up amidst lush green landscapes and vibrant ecosystems, I developed a deep appreciation for the natural world and a strong sense of environmental stewardship.

Educational Journey and Career Path

Fuelled by my passion for nature, I pursued a degree in Environmental Science at a renowned university in Amsterdam. During my studies, I actively participated in various conservation projects and field research expeditions across Europe, gaining practical experience in biodiversity monitoring and habitat restoration.

Discovery of Tanzania and Entry into Tourism

Upon graduation, I embarked on a transformative journey to Tanzania, drawn by its rich biodiversity and unique cultural heritage. It was here that I found my calling in ecotourism and sustainable travel. Captivated by Tanzania’s diverse landscapes—from the Serengeti plains to the snow-capped peaks of Kilimanjaro—I decided to make it my second home.

Josée Clermont (Canada)

Hello, I am Josée, a Canadian Adventurer and Educator with a passion for discovering the world by bicycle. I cycled more than 50,000 km in 29 countries, on five continents, solo and unsupported! I discovered Tanzania when I first came in 2020 to climb Kilimanjaro, and fell in love with the country. I returned to Africa to cycle from South Africa to Uganda, spending two months in Tanzania. I have previous experience planning and guiding trips in South America and Tanzania. Formerly Executive Director of Collège nordique francophone, I have a master’s degree in linguistics and I speak fluent French, English and Spanish. I now dedicate myself to sharing my passion for discovering the world by bicycle. Join me now and make your dream come true!
